John McGinty

John is currently a Research Associate in the Sefcik research group. He works as part of the Future Manufacturing Research Hub developing end-to-end modular microfactories as part of a multidisciplinary team. His research interests are in antisolvent & reactive crystallisation, continuous crystallisation development, and "prediction-first" process design.

John first joined CMAC in 2013 as part of the second cohort of PhD students in the Doctoral Training Centre. His PhD project was concerned with the development of continuous organic salt crystallisation using a combination of modelling and experimentation. He graduated in 2017 and continued working at CMAC in the role of Research Associate.
