John is a postdoctoral research associate in the Made Smarter Innovation | Digital Medicines Manufacturing Research Centre (DM²) as part of CMAC focusing on the development of deep learning and AI models for prediction and insight into the medicines manufacturing process.

John joined CMAC in 2022 after completing his PhD in astrophysics at the University of Glasgow. John’s PhD research was focused on deep learning applications to solar flare observations using the methods to increase efficiency of data processing pipelines and uncover new insights about solar flares.
