Thomas is a PDRA working on the core project “Automated model-based design of experiments for crystallisation process development”. The project applies crystallisation modelling, automation and optimisation search algorithms to reduce material usage and streamline development timelines for use in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Thomas joined CMAC in October 2020 where he completed his PhD within the Florence Group with his thesis titled the “Development, Digitalisation and Validation of a Workflow for Pharmaceutical Crystallisation”. After the completion of his PhD he worked in the pharmaceutical industry before returning to CMAC in 2024.
