Saadia Tanveer
PhD Researcher
University of Strathclyde
Saadia is currently undertaking a PhD research project in collaboration with Pfizer, Lilly and Takeda. Project aim is to gain a fundamental and applied understanding in the discovery of a novel solid-state arrangement known as a Water Bridge Salt Form. It will combine three research elements (i) explore molecular features that favour water bridge formation in molecular salts (ii) factors that affect their formation from solution crystallisation and (iii) solubility, dissolution and stability of selected water bridge hydrate structures. This research will build fundamental understanding of salt “water bridge” propensity, creation, stability, and physical property relationships.
Saadia joined CMAC in January 2022. She holds MSc Analytical Sciences (distinction) from the University of Bradford, UK and worked as a research scientist and quality control analyst in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 5 years.
