Jenna Johnston

Instrument Scientist

University of Strathclyde

Jenna’s current role is centred on the development and operation of crystallisation processes. This includes the use of a wide range of crystallisation platforms and analytical equipment. Jenna’s expertise focuses on the utilisation of digital tools such as mechanistic models to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies within the investigated crystallisation systems.

Jenna’s PhD and Research Assistant role within CMAC focused on the building of mechanistic models of different crystallisation processes that could then be used for sensitivity analysis and optimisation of the process for given process outputs. Additionally, CFD models of particle suspensions across different scales has been utilised to gain a better understanding of the particles’ physical experience within a stirred vessel.
